"To finish our outing in Ins, a small group of us visited the Albert Anker House. Mr Brefin, the great-grandson of Albert Anker, welcomed us in front of the handsome farmhouse and after a few introductory words, led us into the Anker studio. Albert Anker was born in this house and spent much of his life here. Everything looks just as it did in those days, Mr Brefin told us. It was as if the painter had just left the house for a moment. The room conveys a great deal of the artistic spirit and prevailing tastes of those times. We had plenty to laugh at as Mr Brefin told a lot of interesting and funny tales."
