The wooden bridge in Büren an der Aare

"In Büren an der Aare, I know the castle of the old bailiffs of Berne, the town hall with its Gothic façade, the “Spittel” converted into a local museum, the church and, of course, the impressive wooden bridge. All the same, I’d rather tell you about a lovely evening I spent in the small town. Last summer with some friends, we decided to dine at a wonderful Italian restaurant. It has a terrace a few metres from the Aare and offers a fine view of the famous bridge. From our table, we had a chance to watch the bathers making their way into the river, enjoying the last moments of sunshine. It was one of those warm and clear summer evenings, in a truly exceptional setting. A perfect memory of Büren an der Aare!"
