The Biel Chess Festival is one of the most traditional chess tournaments in Europe. Venue for the various tournaments is the Congress Centre in the centre of Biel. Well over 600 players (from amateurs to Grand Master) will attend the two-week festival. The most important games are broadcast live on the internet and are also projected onto the big screen of the tournament hall.
