Water ski

"It has been too long since the north wind last blew. The sails of my kiteboard quiver at the thought of pulling all kinds of tricks again. Each day, like a well-worn ritual, I check the pages of windguru.com and windspots.com to find out about the day’s forecasts. When I see that the north wind is picking up, I head for my favourite spot at La Neuveville. Once there I meet up with some friends who have also sensed the north-east wind, ideal for our sport of choice. With my wetsuit on and my 12 m2 sail raised, I head towards the lake. Putting my feet on the board, I make my waterstart. What a pleasure to make this first tack! Some two hours later, after attempting various tough tricks and drinking half the lake, I allow myself a short and well-deserved break. Putting my board aside, I watch the aquatic ballet from the shore. There are boats, yachts and windsurfers sharing a confined space, all observing the rules of navigation."
