"We began our hike at the station in the rural village of Schüpfen. Passing by wide fields, we reached the beautiful village of Grossaffoltern and admired the fine buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The path led us on through charming hamlets. All the way, we had wonderful views of the Jura, the Alps and the Seeland. When we arrived at the local mountain of Büren after almost four hours’ hiking, we finally saw our destination ahead: Büren an der Aare."
