"The text messages have been sent! Meeting at the bottom of the Magglingen funicular for a session among friends. The keys are in our pockets and the bikes are loaded into the compartment. Now we are just a few minutes away from our dose of adrenaline. The higher we get, the more we focus. In Magglingen at last! A few final adjustments to our armour and off we go. In our sights: Biel/Bienne. After the access road to the BielTrail we have to dismount for safety reasons on the bridge and ride slowly to the start of the trail. The first third runs over rough terrain and includes two technical passages. Then the track becomes a little smoother with one subtle detail: a transfer coming out of a left-hand bend that is difficult to negotiate. Our muscles are starting to burn but there is no time to stop. The second third has its fair share of stones. There are also two jumps there, but there is always the option to take the chicken line*. The final third is a single-trail* between the trees with a few raised bends, a real pleasure to ride. From start to end a demanding trail. So here we are in Biel/Bienne already. We only have to ride down slowly the Alpenstrasse (we are part of the normal traffic here) to return to our starting point, ready for another dose of adrenaline."
*Chickenline = easy line
*Single-trail = small path
